A fine Canadian-made instrument, hand-built by luthier Larry Muth in Regina, Saskatchewan. Muth Mandolins are rooted in the tradition of the highly influential Gibson mandolins crafted by Lloyd Loar between 1919 and 1924, while reflecting Larry Muth’s own decades of playing and building experience.
Larry Muth began playing in Regina in the early 1960s, performing at local clubs also frequented by a young Joni Mitchell. That musical heritage is part of the story behind this beautifully made instrument.
Built in October 2015, this MF4-NV F-style mandolin is in excellent, barely used condition and has been carefully looked after. The Mandolin is visually stunning in what I would describe as a "whiskey burst" finish & speed neck with V profile.
