This extremely elegant looking Martin HD-28 MP pulled out of Nazareth in 2012 and has now arrived at Black Rose. The guitar has a solid Sitka Spruce top and beautiful herringbone purfling, but the crowning jewel of the MP model is the stunning solid Madagascar Rosewood back & sides.
This guitar has the typical, full, lush Martin sound and a slimmer performance neck profile for greater accessibility. Grained ivoroid binding and heelcap are an added touch as well.
Guitar has very little wear and almost no fret wear. Waverly open back tuners and Martin Luxe liquid metal bone bridge pins have been added. An LR Baggs Lyric pick up system has also been installed providing TRU•MIC technology with studio mic fidelity engineered for live performance. The system includes an internal microphone, hi-fidelity mic preamplifier with soundhole volume and presence controls. The battery pack for the pick up was originally installed over the internal markings from the Martin factory leaving some adhesive residue, it has since been relocated to show the factory markings.
