In the late 1960s, Gibson introduced the ES-150DC, which was a significantly different instrument, despite its similar model number. The ES-150DC was a hollow body electric guitar with a double-cutaway body similar in appearance to the semi-hollow 335 guitars (except for a greater body thickness). It featured two humbuckers, a rosewood fingerboard with small block inlays, and a master volume knob on the lower cutaway.
Some of the serial numbers of this time period were somewhat suspect & at times repeated. I believe this to be a 1969 model (even though the serial number indicates 1967) as it does not have a neck volute nor is it stamped "made in USA" & this model was produced by Gibson between 1969 & 1975. This guitar has been refinished from the original natural at some point in the 70s or 80s & machine heads have been replaced, non original Gibson case included. All electronics appear to be original & are fully functioning.
Guitar plays fantastic & has been well cared for by the second owner since the early 80s.
