2025 Blackwood Black Bear Custom — African Blackwood

A truly exceptional, gently used, pre-owned 2025 Blackwood Black Bear Custom, built to order for the player who appreciates extraordinary tonewoods, craftsmanship, and understated elegance.

This beautiful Black Bear features a striking African Blackwood back and sides, paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top. The combination delivers a powerful, mature voice with excellent clarity, projection, warmth, and responsiveness.

The appointments are equally impressive. The Macassar ebony rosette is accented with abalone shell inlay, while full-body abalone purfling adds a refined touch around the instrument. Curly Koa binding beautifully complements the dark African Blackwood body. The shoulder view highlights the Blackwood body, integrated sound port, and distinctive walnut/maple neck.

The headstock is finished in Macassar ebony, featuring the Blackwood “B” in gold leaf. A black ebony fingerboard and bridge complete the elegant aesthetic. Hardware includes Gotoh 510 tuners, and the guitar is equipped with a K&K pickup for reliable amplification while retaining the instrument's natural character.
