1979 Martin HD-35 - Gorgeous 45 year old Martin with herringbone binding has arrived at Black Rose Guitar House. Outstanding clean 1979 Martin HD-35 / Natural dreadnought acoustic guitar in excellent condition for its age, does have a finish flaw on the top & side & typical small finish crack on top seam.. The HD-35 is famous for its 3-piece back, solid spruce top with ebony bridge and the Herringbone body binding. The neck is made from 1-piece mahogany, topped with a bound ebony fretboard, Dot inlays and 20 frets show minimal wear. Guitar has virtually no signs of daily playwear, this 1979 HD-35 is a remarkably good sounding '70s Martin dreadnought. It boasts an interesting combination of distinctly Martin features: three-piece back, scalloped braces, 1-3/8" Maple bridge plate, and bold Herringbone purfling. Its tone is deep, powerful, and refined. Original hardshell case included.
